Ever since he first picked up a disc as a freshman at Swarthmore College, Dan (“D-Lai”) has been in love with the game and culture of Ultimate. On the field, what he lacks in height is made up with his speed and spirit; off the field, he works hard to incorporate the values of SOTG into his everyday life. When he’s not doing research on heart disease, he plays mixed club, commissions hat leagues, and runs the U10/U12 division for Boston Ultimate’s youth program. He hopes to continue coaching and playing Ultimate as he attends medical school this fall!

So why Ultimate? To him, it’s the community, the sportsmanship, and the fact that all you need to do is chase 175 grams of plastic to have a good time!
