David Goldemberg

Hometown: New York City.
Ultimate Experience: I have been involved with Ultimate as a player or coach for 30 years. I first caught the fever at the Bronx High School of Science. At Carnegie-Mellon University I was co-founder of the men’s team Mr Yuk. When I returned to NYC, I was lucky to have played our fabulous sport across several divisions (open, mixed, masters, mixed masters and grand masters) in over 15 countries abroad & 25 states domestically. My career has spanned 20 National or World Championships appearances, which includes 2 Masters National titles, 2 Finals & 2 Semi-Finals Worlds appearances, plus an Open Semi’s & a College Semi’s finish. As head coach of NYU for over 15 years, I helped build the program into a regional powerhouse and national contender.
Last summer at UP was a unique and powerful experience. I am honored to be able to use Ulitmate Frisbee as a tool to provide Middle Eastern kids with the opportunity and love for the sport that has changed my life for the better.
