Joel is a native Texan who lives in Jerusalem, builds peace, and loves playing high-level ultimate frisbee. He designs and evaluates projects for an NGO that promotes collaborative and innovative solutions to divided conflicts. A former teacher and certified dialogue facilitator, he also volunteers for a virtual exchange program that brings university students together across the US, Europe, and Middle East each semester. Joel has played for men’s and mixed club teams at tournaments across the US, placing in the top 5 at D-III College Nationals in 2013, competing at Men’s Club South East Regionals in 2015, and helping to start the first-year DC-based team District Cocktails in 2017.
