Matt Godfrey

I am from St. Paul, Minnesota and I began playing Ultimate when I was a junior in high school because some of my friends from the soccer team thought I might be pretty good at it. In my first practice with the team I fell in love with the sport and the community it creates, and have never looked back since. After captaining my high school team during my senior year I went on to play for 4 years at Carleton College on the Gods of Plastic, where I captained the team for my final two years there. I moved to the Chicago area in the summer of 2016, and most recently have enjoyed playing with a mixed club team out of Chicago named Shakedown. I have made some of the most important connections of my life through the sport of Ultimate, and am excited for the opportunity to give back a little of what the sport has given to me.
