Maya Nir was born in San Francisco California to an American mother and Israeli father. After living in Jerusalem during the Second Intifada, she has lived in Arlington for the majority of her childhood. Maya has played for H-B Woodlawn Pandamonium, her high school’s varsity team since her freshman year. She is devoted to gender equity in Ultimate, and has worked with her team to promote equity at a youth level.
Maya was an LIT in 2016, a Lead LIT in 2017, and returning as a coach for the first time this year. She is passionate about Ultimate Peace and the Middle East, and hopes to pursue a career in peace building in college next year.
