Michael discovered Ultimate at a summer camp in 2004 and immediately fell in love with the sport. On his first day of high school, at the freshman activities fair, he ran to the Ultimate booth and signed up for the team. Since that day, he has never looked back and has found a supportive and wonderful community filled with his best friends, mentors and coaches. He has played on the Columbia High School Varsity Frisbee team in Maplewood, New Jersey and for University of Pittsburgh En Sabah Nur. Currently, he is playing on New York City PoNY and has been a member since 2014. He has traveled all over the United States playing and coaching Ultimate. He has also been fortunate to travel internationally for Ultimate, which has been some of his most humbling experiences. In January 2018, he traveled to Ahmedabad, India as a part of the Pay It Forward project. The goal was to help grow and spread Ultimate in budding communities by teaching players how to use the sport and Spirit of the Game for self-reflection, developing relationships, and bridging gaps. It was one of his most rewarding moments of his life. Michael has been blessed by all of the fulfilling experiences involving Ultimate and is eager to give back to the community which has given him so much. He looks forward to a long future of playing, coaching and involvement in Ultimate Peace.
