Middle East Program Implementation Team
Tomer Levy – Regional Director – Middle East
Tomer had his first encounter with a Frisbee seeing people tossing a disc around Rabin Square in Tel Aviv while passing by on his way home.
Immediately falling in love with the disc, he got heavily involved in event planning and produced the first international tournament in Israel (Bulaflow) in 2005, the 2009 Ultimate Peace in the Middle East Event in Hayarkon Park and was Manager of Production for the first Ultimate Peace Summer Camp held in Acco in July 2010.
Tomer has as strong corporate background and has held top level positions in various large Israeli corporations. He is currently the owner of Bulata Productions.
Tomer is married to Piri Levy and is the devoted father to two beautiful daughters.
Karym Barhom - Middle East Program Manager
Nadin Shlosh – CIT Program Advisor
Yuval Zolotushko - CIT Program Leader
Eric Rait - Special Advisor
Eric Rait was born and raised in the US and started playing ultimate in high school in the 1970s, when there were even fewer rules governing the game. He played for a couple years on the Tufts team and then moved to Israel, where he initially focused on growing tomatoes, cucumbers and dates at Kibbutz Lotan. The next time he tried to play ultimate was at Cornell in the early 1990s and the game had changed (so had he apparently) – fouls had specific names, and the game was a bit less laid back than it had been in the 70s. Eric lives in Tel Aviv today, works in the field of organizational and leadership development, and still prides himself on being able to teach anyonehow to throw a disc. Oh, yeah, he also loves UP!
Rona Yaniv – CIT Program Leader
Rona’s first encounter with Frisbee was around the dinner table when her brother, Dori Yaniv, one of Ultimate Peace’s founders, was tossing plates and spinning cups as flying discs were simply not enough. She witnessed Ultimate Peace taking its first baby steps back in the USA and has shared its vision from its inception.
In the 2011 Summer Camp in Acco she joined as the project’s head of Monitoring & Evaluation and has since become a key person in the Coaches in Training (CIT) program, a Middle East program director and an advisory board member of Ultimate Peace.
Rona has strong international relations, media and corporate background and has held key positions in leading corporations both in Israel and the USA. She has lived in NYC for many years and has recently relocated back to Israel, where she currently acts as an independent project manager.
