Ultimate Peace is proud to unveil its domestic pilot program this year! Ultimate Peace will be collaborating with Emerald City Ultimate, 
an elite Club Ultimate team based out of Seattle, WA in order to provide 15 free Ultimate Frisbee clinics for underserved youth, within the United States, who currently do not have the opportunity to learn or play the game. The program will concentrate on serving young people in underprivileged areas of Seattle, but will also run five traveling clinics in cities around the country serving a similar target group (Oakland, CA, Burlington, WA, Eugene, OR, and two TBD locations).

Program Focus
The clinics will promote the same successful tenets of Ultimate Peace: mutual respect, friendship, non-violence, integrity, and fun. This standard will be applied through 
teaching Spirit of the Game (SOTG), the foundation of Ultimate Frisbee. SOTG encourages highly competitive play, but never at the expense of mutual respect among competitors, adherence to the agreed upon rules, or the basic joy of play.
Clinics will include elements of non-violent conflict resolution, community, team, skill and relationship building. The goal is for the participants to graduate the program and share their knowledge and experiences with peers. Moreover, the program’s continuity will stem from its past participants and will have the students become the initiative’s future leaders. As E.C.U. organizes and facilitates each event, they will engage parents, coaches, teachers, and the business community in order to promote sustainability.
Delivery
The core staff will be made up of elite men’s players from a newly formed Ultimate team in Seattle, all of whom have dedicated themselves to this cause. The group of 25 has over 175+ years of combined coaching and playing experience.
The coaches are High School Champions, College Champions, Club Champions, Spirit Award winners, World Champions at the Co-ed and Youth levels and Team U.S.A. Champions. They and their teammates will facilitate the clinics in Seattle and around the country, and will recruit other players (particularly female players/coaches) and volunteers to assist.
The core members of E.C.U. have many years of non-profit work within the Ultimate Frisbee community, Ultimate Peace itself, as well as international community work in Colombia, Germany, Czech Republic, Israel, Australia, Japan and Canada, teaching many of the same principles being administered by Ultimate Peace.
Growth and The Future
The end desire of the Ultimate Change Clinics is to create a sustainable 
program that will allow any team, or any group of people in an city, to create a similar model, quickly and effectively. The possibilities for program growth and sponsorship are numerous. Most importantly, this approach will allow us to enhance the lives of urban youth by providing easy access to the principles and practices of one of the fastest growing and most enriching sports in the country.
