Ultimate Peace in the Middle East
CAMP UP – Middle East – Israel
July 2012 – Registration will begin 1 April 2012
In our 3rd summer season, Ultimate Peace overnight camp will host over 200 youth from 12 Arab, Jewish, and Palestinian communities in the Middle East for two 5-day sessions.
Session 1: June 29 – July 3
Session 2: July 8 – July 12
Exciting Features of Camp UP 2012 include:
• Training Camp – Our first session is a training camp. It will be have all the usual features of the Camp UP program: cultural sharing, non-Ultimate social activities, community-buidling, and an assortment of activities and classes. Campers who have been highly engaged in our your-round program will participate in this session, where the level of Ultimate training, conditioning, and play will be elevated.
• The second session will be our highly successful summer camp program. This will have all the features of Camp UP listed above, and will focus heavily on learning and practicing the 5 values of UP: mutual respect, integrity, friendship, non-violence, and fun.
• Both camps will have stellar local and international coaches on staff as we always. This year, our coaching staff will be made up of players from Revolver, Fury, Sockeye, Riot, and many more great teams. Their names will posted soon. Some of them will be on their way to the World Championships in Japan!
• CIT Program – This year, our Coaches in Training program will be 30 strong. Made up of 18 Middle East youth who work together on leadership all year long, and 12 International youth who will join them, they will provide support to coaches and leadership to campers. This is a very exciting component of our camp – these young leaders are the future of Ultimate Peace in the Middle East.
As we prepare for our next CampUP, it is important to mention that Ultimate Peace is a volunteer-driven organization, but we still require substantial contributions from generous donors to provide these life-changing services. Each donation makes a big difference, so please go to our donations page and check out the different ways you can help, and see what cool premium gifts we have for you!

Albayan School in Tamra Becomes First Ultimate Peace School.
.
Tamra is an Arab city in the north district of Israel located in the Lower Galilee, 20 kilometers east Acre. Tamra became a city in 1996 and today it has about 30 thousand inhabitants. It includes nine elementary schools, three middle schools and three high schools.
Albyan School is in the northern neighborhood community and was established in 2008. It started as a junior high with 311 students in seventh and eighth grades. Today there are about 920 students (from 13 -17 years old – 30 classes) and 80 teachers.
School Vision
Al – Bayan School is a cultural educational institution which advocates understanding and mutual respect and considers those both aspects as foundation blocks to design a generation that relies on the channel of communication, affiliation, partnership and responsibility. This school strives for excellence both in the educational and the competitive field.
We believe in our students’ potentials and we try to address all their needs in all aspects! Therefore, the school opens its doors seven days a week and after school hours to run various courses. It should be noted that the school has conducted several courses and obtained quite impressive achievements.
The exceptional branch of Frisbee which includes forty students from our school has an important attribute for me as a principal. I can see the influence of this branch on the daily behavior of our students. They are changing their behavior patterns, taking more responsibility and they are also instilling the values of friendship, mutual respect, not violence, honesty, and enjoyment.
There is no doubt that this project takes its place alongside school; many students are interested in taking part in this project. There is no doubt as well that the good feeling that the participants convey has helped a lot in promoting this project. I’m all hope that we together will be able to expand this domain and give the chance to a larger number of students to participate in this field.
