Ultimate Peace Coaches
Known for exemplary play and leadership, CampUP – Middle East Coaches are made up of long time competitive standouts and current/former national and world champions who have collectively coached thousands of youth all over North America, Asia and Europe. These women and men possess an abundance of passion and excitement about the mission of Ultimate Peace and are volunteering their time and fundraising to pay their own way.
One major advantage of bringing a mixed team is having women with such exceptional athletic prowess and leadership abilities who can provide powerful role modeling for both female and male youth. Team members are also highly productive and successful in other walks of life – there are middle and high school teachers, educational administrators, college students, community organizers, high-tech engineers, business leaders, graduate students, non-profit leaders, and professional coaches.
Team UP is made up of two categories of coaches, 1.) CampUP Coaches who work at the annual summer CampUP event including coaches, asst. coaches and CITs, and 2.) Year-round Coaches who work at the many Ultimate Peace events during the year. Click on the links below for lists and bios of the UP Coaches:

Coaches in Training (CIT) Program
At the beginning of each school year, 20-25 teens are selected to be Coaches in Training. This multi-cultural group undergoes an intensive training program that prepares them to lead social & educational activities with 200 UP participants from September through June. They are provided with ongoing training in group facilitation and leadership skills, then are asked to apply their learning at weekly community practices, UP League games, and other events. CIT’s not only lead and plan activities for youth, but also work together to bond and develop as a united leadership team. In the summer, Ultimate Peace runs ground-breaking overnight camps for 300 youth from 14 communities. CIT’s finish their year long experience as leaders at Camp UP, where they receive additional training and help lead multi-cultural youth teams that live, practice, socialize and play together for a week.
