Michael has been playing Ultimate since the Fall of 2005 when the Chemistry teacher at his High School, Dave Soles, and some of the upperclassmen would not stop throwing frisbees at him until he came to practice. He soon fell in love with the game and his knees have never been the same since. Michael played for YHB Ultimate (Now split between Yorktown and H-B Woodlawn) in Arlington, Virginia for four years in High School, and for the University of Pittsburgh from 2009-2013.

He has played club for several iterations of Oakland Ultimate (The Haiders and the Hators), Eastern Motors Flatball, and played professionally for the Pittsburgh Thunderbirds in 2015. He has been the extremely proud coach of Pitt’s “B” Team (#2 at the School, #1 in Your Hearts) for the past two-and-a-half years.

In his spare time, Michael works for Zero Six Eight, a Western Pennsylvania startup located in Pittsburgh which empowers those with a criminal background through workforce development and entrepreneurship. Michael also received his Masters Degree in Social Work from Pitt in 2016.

Camp UP is the perfect marriage of the Social Worker Michael, and the frisbee player Michael also known as Mick. Summer 2016 will most certainly be a summer to remember and cherish.
