Liz feels incredibly grateful to be returning to Camp U.P. in 2012! Having participated in Ultimate Peace since the inaugural 2009 trip, Liz has been blown away with the powerful and positive effects of introducing the spirit and sport of Ultimate Frisbee to youth in the Middle East, and she knows that these will be some of the most memorable and rewarding experiences of her Ultimate life. Ultimate Frisbee has been one of Liz’s main passions since her introduction to the sport at Amherst College. She was instantly hooked, drawn to Ultimate by the fun and athleticism of the sport as much as the spirited nature of the game and the community that it fosters. After playing on Seattle Riot for 8 years, with fellow U.P. coaches Miranda Roth and Loriana Berman, Liz recently moved to Atlanta, where she immediately jumped into the thriving Ultimate scene, through leagues, coaching, and as a member of the women’s team Ozone. In addition to U.P., Liz has been fortunate enough to have had other opportunities to spread her love of Ultimate Frisbee, both in the U.S. (through coaching and with Team USA in 2009), and internationally (with Seattle Riot, in Colombia and Prague 2009-2010).
