Become an Ulti-Mate 2010: From July 14-20, 2010, Ultimate Peace broke new ground again, holding its first annual Ultimate Peace Residential Summer Camp, “CAMP UP”, in Acco, Israel. We are looking for Ultimate teams to join the U.P. team & send a youth to camp.
Why? Our 120 campers come from low-income, underserved Palestinian and Jewish communities in the West Bank and within Israel – A little contribution from you and each of your team members can change one child’s summer, and in many ways, change his/her life. Camp UP is our strategy for expanding their horizons and helping Ultimate “stick” in the region. After school programs, leagues, and even traveling international teams are future goals.
What they Get: Campers will be immersed in a rich athletic, social, and cultural atmosphere. Away from the tensions of their daily lives, they will live together for a week in beautiful surroundings, enjoy a multitude of fun activities, and play lots of Ultimate. Activities will be led by a talented and diverse group of exemplary coaches and players from around the globe – all have volunteered their time to work at Camp UP.
What you Give: For $420, your team can send one child to camp for a whole week. To become an Ulti-Mate 2010, we ask your team to make this generous donation. You can do so by clicking on this link: http://www.ultimatepeace.org/donate. We will also request a team shirt or disc that we can give to your Ulti-Mate.
What you Get: Each Ulti-Mate 2010 team will be matched up with one Ulti-Mate youth at camp, and will receive pictures of their youth in action, plus their contact information when possible. We will proudly display your logo prominently on the Ultimate Peace website. The first five teams to become Ulti-Mates 2010 will get 15 cool Ultimate Peace trucker caps.
Our Budget: The budget for the camp is $110,000. Budget breakdown: 60% – Camp Production (facility, food, activities); 30% – Travel; 10% – Gear, Miscellaneous.
