Noam, a 2nd year CIT, is in the 11th grade in Ra’anana, a Jewish community just north of Tel Aviv.  Like many Ultimate Peace participants, he started off playing basketball, but fell in love with ultimate when a friend invited him to come to a practice.  Noam is a naturally curious person and was already studying Arabic when he was introduced to UP and saw it as a natural progression in learning more about different people.

Noam remembers very vividly his first UP Event.  The disc he had brought from home was accidentally thrown over a fence, and Noam was sad that he had lost his disc.  David was there to save the day and gave Noam a new disc to take home.  This compassion and personal touch has stayed with Noam ever since, and was part of what motivated him to apply for the CIT program.

This past summer was Noam’s first at camp as a CIT, and he had an absolute blast spending time with the numerous coaches from across the world, hearing their stories and swapping jerseys with them.  Noam is determined to continue playing ultimate and to continue working with UP, hopefully taking on a leadership role with the organization one day.
