Tom’s involvement in Ultimate Peace came about as a result of his love of the sport of Ultimate and his long term relationship with David. Tom and David began competing on the Ultimate field more than 35 years ago. Once he became aware of the inspirational work David was doing in the Middle East, using Ultimate to bridge cultural gaps, his commitment was cemented. Tom was the founder and first Director of the U.P.A. now U.S.A.U. He co-wrote the first book on the sport of Ultimate and founded and captained the worlds longest running club team, the Santa Barbara Condors. He was inducted into the inaugural class of the Ultimate Hall of Fame in 2004. He lives with his wife Michele in Cambria, California.
